Announce finished Linear issues on social media as drafts or scheduled posts

Overview⁠

AdaptlyPost schedules posts to X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads, Facebook and other networks. The Linear integration writes a social post whenever an issue in a team you pick is completed, so the work you ship gets announced without anyone copying it over by hand.

How it works⁠

You connect your Linear account and add announcement rules. A rule names a Linear team, an optional label (for example changelog), the social accounts to post to, and what to do with the post: save it as a draft for review, or schedule it a set time after the issue is completed.

Each rule writes the caption in one of two ways. A template fills in details from the issue, such as {title}, {description}, {identifier}, {team} and {label}. An AI caption uses the issue’s title and description plus your own instructions to write a post for each network. Every post goes through AdaptlyPost’s normal checks and permissions, so a team member who can only create drafts gets drafts.

Rules can be paused, resumed, edited or deleted, and each rule lists the recent issues it picked up, with a link to the post it created. Each completed issue produces one post per rule, even if Linear sends the event more than once.

Configure⁠

In AdaptlyPost, open Integrations and choose the Linear tab. Click Connect Linear and approve access; each member connects their own Linear account, and no Linear admin is needed. Then click Add rule, pick a team, an optional label, up to 20 accounts, draft or schedule (from 5 minutes to 7 days after the issue is completed), and a template or AI instructions. Contributors can add draft rules; scheduling needs an Admin or Editor. An AI caption costs one AI credit per platform per issue. Disconnect from the same tab.
