Process Linear issues locally using Claude Code

Overview

Ship 10x faster with Cyrus, your Al development agent powered by Claude Code. Cyrus runs on the local secure environment of devices you control, but enables the efficiency of cloud automated workflows. It offers mentions, continuous threads with follow-ups, fully parallel processing of many tasks, MCP configurations, and passing Linear issue attachments to Claude Code.

How it works

The integration operates by securely connecting to Linear workspaces and monitoring for issue assignments and mentions of the Cyrus agent. When issues include screenshots and attachments, the agent automatically analyzes visual mockups and data files to understand context beyond text descriptions. Each task is processed in its own isolated development environment to prevent conflicts between different issues being worked on simultaneously.

Key workflow capabilities include:

  • Live progress streaming — Provides high-level TODO updates without overwhelming details, then sends a final comment when work is completed
  • Unlimited workspace integration — Supports multiple repositories and workspaces with team-specific configurations
  • Pull request driven workflow — Creates GitHub pull requests using local authentication
  • Cross-functional collaboration — Enables designers and PMs to collaborate on feature development through natural Linear interactions
  • Mobile and integration triggers — Allows workflow triggering and issue assignment from Al chats or mobile devices on the go, opening up orchestration

The system requires users to bring their own Claude Code authentication, either through Anthropic API keys or existing Claude Pro/Max subscriptions. Setup typically takes less than three minutes and runs entirely on the user's machine for complete control over code, execution, and credentials.

Configure

Connect Cyrus to your Linear workspaces by following these simple steps.
Configuration is then managed through a local settings file that can be updated as needed, allowing users to connect multiple Linear workspaces and customize security settings for Claude Code tool access.
