Getting set up
Join your workspace, set up your account, and find the team you work with.
Join the workspace
- Go to
linear.app/your-company - Sign in with your company SSO, Google, or email
- Install the desktop or mobile app if you plan to use them
If you cannot sign in, ask a workspace admin to invite you or confirm that your SSO group has access.
Set yourself up
Complete these settings once when you join.

| Slack or Teams | Connect your account to receive notifications and use Linear from conversations. Your workspace admin must enable the integration first. | Settings → Connected accounts |
Join your team
Your teams are where you will find the issues, projects, cycles, and Triage queues relevant to your work.
Select the + next to Your teams in the sidebar, open the team you need, and select Join.
Create a team
If your team does not exist yet.
- Select + New team from the sidebar
- Enter a name and identifier, such as
ENG - Review the team settings and configure the workflows your team will use
Add teammates
- Open Team settings and select Members
- Add existing workspace members, or invite new teammates if your workspace allows you to send invitations
For private teams, a team owner needs to invite members. If you cannot invite new people to the workspace, ask a workspace admin to help.
