Organizing work
Use labels, templates, and estimates to keep work easy to find, consistent to create, and easier to plan.
Labels
Labels help teams categorize work for filtering, views, and reporting.
| Type | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Workspace labels | Categories shared across teams, such as Bug or Security. |
| Team labels | Categories that only apply to one team. |
| Label groups | A set of related labels where each issue can have only one value, such as Type/Bug or Type/Feature. |
Apply labels from any issue and update them as your team’s taxonomy develops.
Templates
Templates give recurring work a consistent starting point.
- Issue templates pre-fill properties and descriptions for work such as bug reports and incident write-ups.
- Project templates create repeatable projects with the right milestones, properties, and documents.
- Document templates standardize recurring documents such as product requirements, decision logs, and retrospectives.
Estimates
Estimates describe the size or complexity of an issue. Teams can use them to plan capacity, understand effort, and track progress.
Estimates are optional and are configured separately for each team in Team settings → General → Estimates.
