Automatic embeds

Linear automatically detects links from common applications and will embed them automatically.

A figma link shows the embed expanding in Linear

Paste Youtube links directly in Linear descriptions or comments. We'll create an embed automatically.

Paste Descript links directly in Linear descriptions or comments. We'll create an embed automatically.

Paste Loom links directly in Linear descriptions or comments. We'll create an embed automatically.

As long as you've set up the Figma integration, pasting a Figma link will embed a file preview.

There isn't a way to turn off embeds for Youtube, Loom, or Descript. The best workaround is to add text before or after the link to confuse the editor. For instance, it won't recognize #link# as an embeddable link. For Figma, you can also disable the integration, but that would disable it for everyone in your workspace.

You can also link to any URL using the "Add Link" option. Link to Zendesk, Front, Intercom or any other URL from the ... menu in any issue. This will add it as a dedicated link section under the Issue description for easy access.
