Who does the work
A workspace is the container for your whole company, and it holds teams. Teams are the primary unit in Linear, owning their issues and defining their own workflows.
Sub-teams can be nested up to five levels to mirror how your organization is structured, and they inherit settings from their parent so conventions stay consistent.
What gets done
Work is structured in three tiers, each rolling up into the one above, and every tier breaks down further when needed, initiatives into sub-initiatives, projects into milestones, and issues into sub-issues.
Most work in Linear can be described in one sentence, an issue belongs to a team, sits in a project, and rolls up to an initiative.
