Team Issue limits
Overview
If you have received a warning about the number of issues in one of the teams on your workspace, you may have exceeded or neared the issue quota permitted per team.
In order to deliver the best performance and speed that Linear is known for, individual teams are limited to 60,000 non-archived issues. Archived issues do not count toward this limit.
Issues created through integrations or the API will be prevented from creating more issues on the affected team if it exceeds this limit.
Recommended next steps
To reduce the number of issues per team on your workspaces, we recommend the following. Archiving issues is the primary way to reduce the counted total — issues continue to count toward the limit until they are archived, even after they are completed.
- Delete older issues no longer needed
- Move issues to another team to help reduce pressure on a team that is near or over the limit
- Configure your issues to be auto-archived earlier

FAQ
You can only manually delete issues. Issues are archived depending on the archiving automations set in team workflow settings. You can also move issues to other teams to keep under the limit.
Teams with more than 60,000 non-archived issues may experience degraded performance. Issues continue to count toward this limit until they are archived.
They may be created by a bot user or integration added to your workspace. If you need assistance with finding the source, please reach out.
