Setting up teams

Teams usually represent product areas or groups of people who work together on an ongoing basis, such as mobile engineering, design, and marketing.

  • Teams can customize settings such as statuses, labels, templates, git automations, and estimates.
  • Teams have their own cycles (similar to sprints) to track work being done and predict capacity using historical data. Keeping one or two future cycles open for planning can be helpful for teams who want have visibility into what’s coming next.
  • Teams can turn on a Triage to capture issues filed by members outside of their team. This offers a chance to review, update, and prioritize issues before they are added to the team's workflow.
  • Teams have their own backlog

Teams are simkilar to projects in Jira.
