Project details

Create a hub for your project directly in Linear

Project details sidebar view

Overview

The project details give you a quick overview of the project. You can link to external resources so they are easy to access for your team. You can also create your own documents inside of Linear to track project specs, updates, and notes.

Cmd/Ctrl I to open or close the project details sidebar

Basics

Open the project details sidebar with Cmd/Ctrl I or by clicking on the sidebar button in the top right.

External links

Add any external link to a Linear project under the Resources section. Press the + button, then add the link and press enter. Add a link label to give the link a title, otherwise we'll show the link source (e.g. docs.google.com). It's not possible to edit the link label so the best workaround is to remove the resource by hovering over it, marking the x that appears, and then recreating the link.

Project documents

Create documents inside of Linear under the Resources section. Press the + button and select Document. Documents use the same Markdown as issues and have similar editing capabilities including tagging others and linking to issues.

Project properties

We'll display all project properties in the sidebar. Click on any property to add or edit it. Clicking on the project name or description will let you edit the text directly.
